ECB har tre styrende organer: Direktionen (Executive Board), Styrelsesrådet (Governing Council) og Det Generelle Råd (General Council). Direktionen har ansvaret for den daglige drift af ECB, herunder gennemførelse af Styrelsesrådets pengepolitiske beslutninger. Styrelsesrådet består af direktionen og de 11 deltagende landes centralbankchefer. ECB’s tredje besluttende organ, Det Generelle Råd, består af alle 15 EU-landes centralbankchefer samt formanden og næstformanden for direktionen. -
