Монеты, сделанные из золота, переставшие обращаться после 1-й мировой войны. Было время, когда закон разрешал держать не более четырех золотых монет выпуска позже 1837 г.; в разное время существовали ограничения на сделки с золотыми монетами и их экспорт. С 1979 г. (Распоряжение о валютном контроле, исключения для золотых монет) золотые монеты могут ввозиться в страну и вывозиться из нее без каких-либо ограничений; исключение составляют золотые монеты, возраст которых старше 50 лет и общей стоимостью более 8000 ф. ст., для экспорта которых требуется разрешение Министерства торговли и промышленности.
