Зависимость между стоимостью факторов производства и стоимостью произведенной продукции. Чтобы определить стоимость производства данного объема продукции, необходимо знать не только количество факторов производства, но и их цены. Учитывая это, функцию издержек можно вывести из производственной функции (см. Production function) в следующем виде:
