18 FUTURES/FORWARD EXCHANGE MARKET
Фьючерский рынок/рынок срочных сделок
Биржа, на которой осуществляется купля-продажа некоторых товаров (например кофе, сахара), ценных бумаг и иностранной валюты по контрактам на поставку в будущем. Срочные сделки заключаются с целью страхования от возможных потерь, вызванных резкими, непредсказуемыми колебаниями цен (см. Hedging), а также в спекулятивных целях (см. Speculation). В отличие от рынка наличных товаров фьючерский рынок организует куплю-продажу контрактов при отсутствии самого предмета контракта. Цены фьючерских сделок отражают ожидаемый в будущем спрос и предложение. Они основываются на текущих ценах наличных товаров, однако в них учитывается возможное изменение процентных ставок и уровня инфляции. Разница между текущей ценой и ценой срочного контракта представляет собой маржу: скидку или надбавку к цене наличного товара или курсу валюты. Самым крупным центром срочных сделок в Европейском союзе является Лондонская международная биржа финансовых фьючерсов и опционов (см. London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange).
