Функциональное уравнивание потенциалов выполняют в специальных электроустановках зданий или в их частях с целью обеспечения условий для нормального оперирования некоторых видов электрооборудования. Функциональное уравнивание потенциалов не предназначено для защиты от поражения электрическим током.
