[waʊ ən `flʌtə]W&Fзвук измер детонáция; коэффициент детонации. ▫ Wow — НЧ-детонация, возникающая в основном из-за неравномерного движения ленты; обычно измеряется на частотах 10 Гц. Flutter — ВЧ-детонация, измеряется на частотах ≥10 Гц. Для аппаратуры ЧМ Hi-Fi должна составлять 0,01%. Д. с частотой 0,1 Гц проявляется в виде смещения тональности звука и называется дрейфом скорости ( drift). Д. 0,1–10 Гц вызывает подвывание и плавание звука, 10 Гц — хриплость и вибрацию звучания. Наиболее заметны искажения частотой 2–10 Гц. Пороговый уровень заметности Д. для монотонного сигнала может составлять 0,01–0,015%, для муз. произведений — 0,3– 0,4%. В частности, по утверждениям япон. специалистов, лучшие экземпляры грампластинок 1980-х по причине многократного редактирования, микширования, монтажа имели интегральный К.д. ≥0,25%.
