Ключевым средством для гарантирования соответствия обязательствам Олимпийской хартии является организация городом-организатором семинара для СМИ по Олимпийскому движению. Целью семинара, который будет проводиться в городе-организаторе, ставится информирование местных СМИ (национальных или зарубежных корреспондентов) об Олимпийском движении, Олимпийских видах спорта и по другим вопросам, имеющим отношение к подготовке и организации Игр. Семинар будет включать брифинги МОК в отношении принципов Олимпизма, и его планирование и осуществление должны проходить в тесном сотрудничестве с функциональным подразделением по коммуникациям МОК.

Olympic movement media seminar
Key means of ensuring that the Olympic Charter obligations are met is the host city’s organization of an Olympic media seminar. The seminar, to be held in the host city, seeks to inform local media (whether national or foreign correspondents) about the Olympic movement, Olympic sports and other issues that pertain to the preparation and organization of the Games. The seminar will include IOC briefings with regard to the principles of Olympism, and must be planned and executed in close cooperation with the IOC communications department.
