    Eruption of a volcano — This eruption is said to have occurred fifty years after the former one: P. λέγεται δὲ πεντηκοστῷ ἔτει ῥυῆναι τοῦτο μετὰ τὸ πρότερον ῥεῦμα (Thuc. 3, 116).
    In this very spring there was an eruption of lava from Etna: P. ἐρρύη περὶ αὐτὸ τὸ ἔαρ τοῦτο ὁ ῥύαξ τοῦ πυρὸς ἐκ τῆς Αἴτνης (Thuc. 3, 116).
    Eruption of the skin: V. λειχήν, ὁ, P. ἕλκος, τό.
