Crescent City Livestock Landing and Slaughterhouse Co.]. Решение по нему Верховного суда США [ Supreme Court, U.S.] (1873) впервые дало толкование основных положений Четырнадцатой поправки [ Fourteenth Amendment] к Конституции США. Это толкование было крайне узким, носило расплывчатый характер и не сыграло значительной роли в истории американской юриспруденции. Противники решения среди судей во главе с С. Филдом [Field, Stephen J.] утверждали, что Четырнадцатую поправку предполагалось толковать гораздо шире.
