(Elohim)(евр. 'elohim - боги)часто встречающийся в Ветхом Завете еврейский термин для обозначения Бога. Термин обозначает многих богов, но использовался для обозначения единого Бога Израиля. Тем самым создавалось усиление: "Бог богов", "высший Бог" (Быт. 1:1). Используется в Псалтири (Пс. 42-83) и как синоним Яхве, самооткровенного имени Бога Израиля в других ветхозаветных текстах. -
