Характеристика объектива с постоянным или переменным фокусным расстоянием, указывающая минимальное расстояние от объекта до плоскости изображения объектива, выраженное в метрах. Минимальное расстояние до объекта у вариообъективов равно примерно 1 м; у объективов с постоянным фокусным расстоянием оно обычно намного меньше и зависит от фокусного расстояния.
