По традиции флаг проносят перед живой аудиторией вокруг всего периметра стадиона. На входе флаг следует пронести мимо трибуны почета, а потом вокруг стадиона. По традиции флаг несут от восьми до десяти человек.

    raising the Olympic flag
    Part of the opening ceremony. After the Head of State opens the Games, the Olympic flag, unfurled horizontally, is brought into the stadium accompanied by respectful and dignified music of national origin. It is customary for the Olympic flag to be carried 360 degrees in view of the live audience around the stadium field’s perimeter. The flag should pass the Tribune of Honor upon entry, and then proceed around the stadium. By custom, the flag is carried by eight to ten people.
