компј. Во оперативниот систем мС-ДОС, текстуален фајл каде се сместени командите за конфигурација на системот. Најчесто се користат следните команди: 1. DEVICE - инсталира драјвер за периферен уред. На пример командата DEVICE:MOUSE.SYS, го инсталира глувчето.2. DOS=HIGH - го сместува мС-ДОС во високата област од меморијата (над 640 К).3. DEVICEHIGH-. Оваа команда е на располагање во DOS5. 00 и поновите верзии и за најголем број драјвери, ја заменува постарата команда DEVICE - драјверите ги сместува во високата област од меморијата (над 640К).4. BUFFERS - го определува бројот на бафери на дискот кој зависи од софтверот што го користите. Некои програми бараат и над ЗО бафери (BUFFERS=30).5. FILES - го определува бројот на едновремено отворени фајлови. Види buffer, driver, mouse.
