Система, позволяющая Всемирному банку компенсировать своим заемщикам риски, связанные с колебаниями валютных курсов, по тем кредитам, которые охватывает данный валютный пул. Механизм компенсации рисков заключается в следующем: все выплаченные и подлежащие выплате суммы в валютах по действующим займам объединяются в пул, по отношению к которому определяется доля непогашенной части основной суммы займа. В результате облигации по обслуживанию любого займа в рамках пула оказываются связанными со всеми выплаченными и подлежащими выплате суммами в различных валютах по всем ссудам в рамках данной системы.
