We could hear the guns firing. \ أَطْلَقَ النار أو السَّهْم \ shoot: to fire, with a gun or a bow; to strike (sb. or sth.) by firing: I shot an arrow into the air. He raised his hands and cried, ‘Don’t shoot!. He shot me in the leg. I shot him dead (I shot him and he died at once).
