Компания, находящаяся в собственности группы лиц, осуществляющих взаимовыгодную деятельность. Можно привести следующие примеры кооперативных объединений: а) кооперативы работников или производителей. Это компании, владельцами и управляющими которых являются сами работники, которые делят между собой чистую прибыль своего бизнеса; б) оптовые кооперативы. Это компании, собственниками которых являются небольшие предприятия розничной торговли, основной целью которых является использование преимуществ крупных оптовых закупок; в) розничные кооперативы. Они представляют собой объединения, осуществляющие свою деятельность в интересах потребителей, которые, например, получают право на ежегодные дивиденды или денежную компенсацию пропорционально средствам, потраченным в магазинах кооператива.
