1 Conditioning
Yarn is " conditioned " to make it better able to withstand the subsequent processes, and also to add weight. This weight adding may or may not be honest. The most common method of conditioning is by exposure in a damp cellar for some days. Damp yarn weaves much better than dry and has less tendency to snarl. -
