    охват, состав, составное, комплекс; Гильберт Порретанский считал комплексом некое конкретное целое (см. CONCRETIO), которое сотворено и сращено в некоем бытии. Альберт Великий описывает отличие между составными вещами и несоставными: «Древние перипатетики, определяя, что такое несоставное, говорили, что речь, выражающая волю, является несоставной, если ее части не предполагают стремления к целому, например, когда произносят слово «человек» (homo), то одна часть слова «ho» и другая часть слова «то» не имеют стремления к целому «homo». Но даже если название простой вещи и является составным, например, Adeodatus (Богоданный), тем не менее это слово относится к простой вещи, и слово не является составным. Часть A deo (Богом) и часть datus (данный) не имеют стремления к единству, выраженному словом Adeodatus. Речь является комплексной, если ее части имеют стремление к единству, кода мы говорим, например, «человек идет», то слово «человек» и слово «идет» имеют стремление к единству в выражении «человек идет». «Правда» и «ложь» не относятся к несоставным вещам, но только к составным» (Albertus Magnus. De praedicab. tract. 1, с. 5).
