3.1 код 39 (Code 39, 3 of 9 Code (deprecated)): Дискретная символика штрихового кода переменной длины, кодирующая знаки от 0 до 9, от А до Z, дополнительные знаки «-» (ДЕФИС), «.» (ТОЧКА), ПРОБЕЛ, «$» (ДЕНЕЖНЫЙ ЗНАК ДОЛЛАРА), «/» (ДРОБНАЯ ЧЕРТА), «+» (ПЛЮС), «%» (ПРОЦЕНТ) и вспомогательный знак Start/Stop (СТАРТ/СТОП), обозначаемый «*» (ЗВЕЗДОЧКА).
Примечание - Каждый символ Code 39 включает в себя начальную свободную зону; знак Start (СТАРТ); знаки, представляющие данные; знак Stop (СТОП) и конечную свободную зону. Каждый знак Code 39 содержит девять элементов, три из которых широкие. Символ состоит из комбинаций знаков символа, включающих пять штрихов и четыре пробела. Знаки разделены межзнаковым интервалом. Каждый элемент (штрих или пробел) имеет одно из двух возможных значений ширины. Размер X и отношение широкого к узкому постоянны для всего символа. Определенное сочетание широких и узких элементов представляет кодируемый знак. Межзнаковые интервалы представляют собой пробелы минимальной номинальной ширины 1Х. Спецификация символики Code 39 приведена в title="Автоматическая идентификация. Кодирование штриховое. Спецификация символики Code 39 (Код 39)".
