An ancient cloth which was specially exempted from the stringent regulations imposed on cloth manufactured in England by the Act of 1483. Among the other fabrics equally favoured were: " Plonkets, turkies, celectrines, vesses, cogware, worsteds, florences, bastards, kendals, saylingware, with cremil lists and frise ware, so as in other respects they be fairly made." -
