Показатель инвестиций за определенный период в счетах национального дохода (national income account). Включает в первую очередь капиталовложения в обрабатывающую промышленность и жилищное строительство. Валовые капиталовложения в основные фонды (gross fixed capital formation) представляют собой совокупные расходы на инвестиции, а чистые капиталовложения в основные фонды (net fixed capital formation) отражают вычет из них амортизационных отчислений (depreciation) накопленного основного капитала.
