Cotton dress goods made to imitate the tartans used by the Scottish clans. A large trade is done in Colne and other districts in cloths 27-in. to 30-in. wide, about 50 to 70 ends and picks per inch, 20's to 30's warp, and 16's to 24's weft. Yorkshire has a fair trade in tartans made from wool yarns. -
