Одно из проявлений циклического характера развития экономики, обычно наблюдается в практике так называемых циклических компаний. У них циклический характер могут иметь тренды, характерные для прибыли и объема выручки. Тенденции бывают противоречивыми. Например, когда компания вступает в рецессию, наблюдается тенденция к увеличению материально-технических запасов, когда же компания выходит из нее, начинается переработка избыточных запасов.
