1 Left Bank
La Rive Gauche, or Left Bank, is traditionally the more popular and bohemian side of Paris. Though the expression literally includes all the districts of Paris to the south of the Seine, it is often used in a more restrictive sense to refer essentially to the Latin Quarter, or the fifth and sixth arrondissements.Dictionnaire Français-Anglais.
