1 average **** av·er·age
['ævərɪdʒ]1. adjmedio (-a), pej qualsiasi inv, ordinario (-a)2. nabove/below (the) average — sopra/sotto la media
3. vt• -
2 -medium o average?-
Nota d'usoQuando si parla di medie statistiche, il termine corretto da usare in inglese è average, non medium: L'età media delle donne è molto bassa, the average age of the women is very low (non the medium age of the women is very low). Medium significa medio in molti altri contesti, ma in questo caso sarebbe fuorviante. -
