ист"военные ястребы"Политическая группировка, сложившаяся после выборов 1810 в Конгрессе [ Congress, U.S.] в преддверии англо-американской войны 1812-14 [ War of 1812]. Состояла из конгрессменов от Демократической республиканской партии [ Democratic-Republican Party] преимущественно из южных и западных штатов. Выступала за войну с Англией, рассчитывая в случае успеха аннексировать Канаду и Флориду (которая была колонией Испании - союзника Великобритании). Лидерами этой группировки были Г. Клей [ Clay, Henry], Дж. Кэлхун [ Calhoun, John Caldwell], Т. Бентон [ Benton, Thomas Hart] (1782-1858), П. Портер [ Porter, Peter Buell] и др. Ныне так называют любую провоенную группировку
