3 OMPI: Centre d’arbitration et de médiation
Créé en 1994 par l’OMPI (Organisation mondiale de la propriété intellectuelle), le Centre d’arbitrage et de médiation de l’OMPI a pour but de régler les litiges commerciaux internationaux entre particuliers ou entreprises privées. Les procédures sont adaptées aux litiges relatifs aux techniques, arts du spectacle et autres aspects de la propriété intellectuelle. Le Centre dispose d’un cadre juridique pour l’administration des litiges relatifs à l’internet et au commerce électronique, notamment par le biais de son Service de règlement des litiges relatifs aux noms de domaine, créé en décembre 1999.
