1 Gestalt
Gestalt, figura (die Gestalt eines Gegenstandes, insofern sie ankündigt, was derselbe vorstellen soll u. wozu er bestimmt ist). – forma (die Form, die bestimmte G., unter der etwas wahrgenommen wird, die Gestalt in bezug auf Farbe u. Schönheit; dah. im engern Sinne = Wohlgestalt, Schönheit, bes. die mädchenhafte, z.B. schöner Sklaven etc.). – species (die G., wie sie dem Beobachtenden vorkommt; dah. auch G., die einem des Nachts im Traume etc. erscheint). – facies (die natürliche Beschaffenheit, in der, sich etwas Körperliches darstellt, das ganze Äußere eines Körpers, die ganze Gestalt). – statura (die G. in bezug auf Länge, Breite u. Dicke, wobei aber die beiden letztern untergeordnet sind). – habitus mit u. ohne corporis (die von der Natur verliehene eigentümliche Haltung, Form u. Konstitutiondes Körpers). – die schöne u. würdevolle G. des Mannes, dignitas corporis; forma ac decor corporis: die schöne u. liebreizende G. des Weibes, venustas: die schöne G. einer Sache, pulchritudo ac species alcis rei: von schöner G., formosus; dignitate corporis praeditus od. (im hohen Grade) insignis: menschliche G., species humana: in menschlicher G., formā hominis indutus od. (v. mehreren) formā hominum induti; specie humanā indutus: menschliche G. haben, humano visu esse: Minerva in Mentors G., Minerva si. mulata Mentori: von der G. eines D. in similitudinem D. litterae circumactus: von der G. eines liegenden Rades, in similitudinem rotae iacentis circumscriptus. – die drohende G. jener Zeitläufte, illius temporis atrocitas. – einer Sache eine G. geben, s. gestalten: die G. von etwas geben, alqd in formam alcis rei redigere: eine G. annehmen, formam capere coepisse: die G. von etwas annehmen, speciem alcis rei induere (so daß man wie etwas aussieht); mutari in alqm od. alqd (so daß man in jmd. od. etwas verwandelt wird): eine G. bekom men, formam induere: eine andere G. annehmen oder bekommen, [1103] mutari (eig. u. uneig.): die Lage der Dinge hat eine ganz andere G. bekommen oder gewonnen, magna rerum commutatio facta est; versa sunt omnia: die Sachen haben eine erfreulichere G. bekommen, melior od. laetior facta est rerum condicio: sich (in bezug auf die Gesinnung) in seiner wahren G. zeigen, se aperire; animum nudare. – folgendergestalt, hoc modo; hāc ratione: solchergestalt, sie. ita (so, also); itaque (demnach). – In weit. Bed. steht »Gestalt«auch für »Mensch«selbst, wofür man auch im Latein., bes. bei den Komikern u. Erotikern, zuw. figura od. forma (für puella), aber immer mit einem Zusatz findet, z.B. eine weibliche G.; mulieris figura (z.B. als Geistererscheinung): eine gewöhnliche G., forma cotidiana; gew. aber steht homo (Mensch, Mann) od. mulier (Frauensperson), z.B. eine artige G., mulier specie lepidā: eine lange G., homo procerus.
