Для данного места трехфазной системы заданной конфигурации отношение максимального значения фазного напряжения промышленной частоты на исправном линейном проводнике во время замыкания на землю одного или нескольких линейных проводников в какой-либо точке системы к значению напряжения промышленной частоты в данном месте при отсутствии какого-либо замыкания на землю.

Отношение напряжения на неповрежденной фазе в рассматриваемой точке трехфазной электрической сети (обычно в точке установки электрооборудования) при замыкании на землю одной или двух других фаз к фазному напряжению рабочей частоты, которое установилось бы в данной точке при устранении замыкания.
Примечание. При определении коэффициента замыкания на землю место замыкания и состояние схемы электрической сети выбираются такими, которые дают наибольшее значение коэффициента
