Con este sentido se emplea también, aunque raramente, el latinismo mínimum: " Por debajo de este mínimum [...], la corriente es ineficaz"(PSuñer/Rodrigo Fisiología [Esp. 1956]). Se recomienda el uso de la forma adaptada, cuyo plural es mínimos: "Las pensiones que no alcancen los mínimos establecidos en la Seguridad Social se verán incrementadas" ( Abc [Esp.] 9.4.85).
