Признание судом невиновности подсудимого; обычно объявляется после суда и вердикта [ verdict] присяжных [ trial jury] или судьи "не виновен" [not guilty], но возможно и до суда, если большое жюри [ grand jury] не предъявляет обвинение [ indictment] подозреваемому [suspect]. После оправдательного приговора по конкретному обвинению данному лицу пожизненно не может быть предъявлено то же обвинение. -
