beherbergen, a) jmd.: hospitio accipere od. excipere alqm. hospitio domum ad se recipere alqm. hospitium alci praebere (jmd. in seinem Hause als Gastfreund aufnehmen). – alqm domum deducere (mit nach Hause nehmen). – in domum suam recipere alqm. tecto accipere od. recipere alqm. tectum praebere alci (übh. in seinem Hause, unter seinem Dache aufnehmen; u. zwar accip. hier, wie vorher, mehr als Freund, exc. u. rec. als Beschützer etc.). – recipere alqm. receptare bes. auch von Diebshehlern u. dgl., die daher receptores hießen). – jmds. Heer b. u. verpflegen, exercitum alcis suis tectis et copiis [377] sustentare: beherbergt werden von jmd., esse in hospitio apud alqm; hospitio alcis uti. – b) absol. = Herberge halten (als Gastwirt): cauponam exercere.
