сокр VOA, VoA"Голос Америки"Государственная международная радиовещательная станция США, ведущая передачи на более чем 40 языках мира. В период "холодной войны" [ cold war] один из основных органов внешнеполитической пропаганды, до реорганизации - подразделение Информационного агентства США [ United States Information Agency], ныне напрямую подчиняется государственному департаменту [ Department of State, U.S.]. В программе как информационные, так и музыкальные передачи. Передач на Соединенные Штаты не ведет. Отделением "Голоса Америки" являются Радио Марти [ Radio Marti] и ТВ Марти [TV Marti], вещающие на Кубу. Основана в 1942 в составе Управления военной информации [ Office of War Information]. С 1953 входила в состав Агентства международных связей США [International Communications Agency, U.S.], затем его правопреемника - ЮСИА. Ныне действует в соответствии с законом 1948 и поправками к нему. В бывшем СССР в 1948-63 и в 1968-73 передачи "Голоса Америки" глушились. В 1983 имела 107 передающих станций по всему миру.
