1. Географический В. — явление, при котором близкие виды растений или животных занимают неперекрывающиеся ареалы, но при этом все же могут возникать зоны гибридизации (напр., куница и соболь — викарирующие виды, их помесь — кидус).2. Экологический В. — обитание близких видов на одной географической территории, но в различных экологических условиях, а следовательно, и на топографически различных участках (напр., чабрец степной, чабрец песчаный и т. д.).3. Эволюционный В. — конвергентно (см. Конвергенция) сходные, но таксономически удаленные друг от друга виды, относящиеся к одной жизненной форме и занимающие близкие экологические ниши в биоценозах, которые пространственно весьма удалены и, как правило, имеют мало общих черт (напр., крот европейский, дальневосточная могера, златокрот в Африке и сумчатый крот в Австралии).Англо-русский толковый словарь генетических терминов > vicariance distribution
