1 Tharp, Twyla
(р. 1941) Тарп, ТуайлаХореограф. Создала уникальный балетный стиль на основе сочетания элементов классического балета, чечетки, джаза и бальных танцев. В 1963-65 танцевала в балетной труппе П. Тейлора [Paul Taylor Dance Company]. В 1973 поставила свой первый спектакль в Балете Джоффри [ Joffrey Ballet], затем спектакли в Американском балетном театре [ American Ballet Theatre]: "Пуш начинает толкаться" ["Push Comes to Shove"] (1976) - первый американский балет, созданный для М. Барышникова, и "Партита Баха" ["Bach Partita"] (1983) - ее первый классический балетный спектакль. В 1988 стала штатным хореографом театра, в 1992 вновь вышла на сцену в качестве балерины. В 1980-89 руководителем и режиссером был М. Барышников [Baryshnikov, Mikhail]. В 1990 содиректорами стали Дж. Херманн [Hermann, Jane] и О. Смит [Smith, Oliver]. Со дня основания с театром сотрудничали известные хореографы и звезды балета. Многие выдающиеся спектакли были поставлены в 1942-47, включая постановки балетов Дж. Баланчина [ Balanchine, George] и Дж. Роббинса [ Robbins, Jerome]. С середины 60-х гг. активно ставятся классические произведения, включая "Лебединое озеро", "Жизель", "Спящую красавицу" и "Золушку", а также постановки на темы современных произведений - хореографами Т. Тарп [Tharp, Twyla], К. Типпетом [Tippet, Clark] и М. Моррисом [Morris, Mark] - с участием танцоров Антона Долина, Кары Фрацци, Гилси Керкленд, Натальи Макаровой, Рудольфа Нуриева.
