Так, гэг с усыпленной лошадью, которая внезапно начинает передвигаться с замедленной скоростью, был вновь использован – гениально – Маккэри в Пареньке из Испании, The Kid from Spain, 1932. В этой пародии на «Трех мушкетеров» можно усмехнуться – крайне снисходительно – над некоторыми анахронизмами, над Ришелье, поглаживающим лысого монаха и дергающим из его черепа последние волоски, или над капитаном гвардейцев, который встает с огромного кресла и оказывается карликом.N.В.
