¿ Kultur?Der Booker Prize (kurz für:Booker McConnell Prize for Fiction) wurde 1969 von der Maschinenbaufirma Booker McConnell ins Leben gerufen. Der angesehene Literaturpreis wird jedes Jahr im September für den besten auf Englisch erschienenen Roman des Vorjahres vergeben. Gewinner des Booker Prize der letzten Jahre waren DBC Pierre (2003), Yann Martel (2002), Peter Carey (2001) und Margaret Atwood (2000).
