עָשַׁר(cmp. עְשַׁן) to be strong, substantial, wealthy. Hif. הֶעֱשִׁיר 1) (denom. of עָשִׁיר) to become wealthy. B. Bath.25b ושיַעֲשִׁיר and he who desires to become rich.
