סְעָרָהII (v. סְעָר) = שַׂעֲרָה, hair. B. סְעָרָהI f. (b. h.; סָעַר II) storm-wind; (hypostatised) the wind-bag. עִרְעֵרII (b. h.; cmp. עָרָה I) to lay bare, strip, denude; to make lonely. Pesik. ʿĂniya, p. 134b> (expl. סערה, Is. 54:11) מערערתא שעִרְעֲרוּהָוכ׳ ‘the stripped (or lonely) one whom the nations have denuded (with ref. to ערו, Ps. 137:7); Yalk. s. 339 שעיר ערוה (read: שעִירְעֲרוּהָ). Num. 708 (play on המים המאררים למרים, Num. 5:24) שממררין את הגוף ומְעַרְעֲרִין את העון (not שממרין) because they make the body bitter (sick), and lay the sin bare; Sifré Num. 11 ומרעדים את העין (corr. acc.); Num.
