(of a rough-edged surface.) to catch (cmp. סִכְסֵךְ); to lacerate. Kel. XXX, 4 סוֹרַחַת את היד it (the flask whose mouth is broken off) catches the hand (when you attempt to get the aromatic unguent out). Tosef. ib. B.
