Commodity - все, что может быть предметом купли/продажи, всякие предметы потребления: Labour is bought and sold like any other commodity. Рабочая сила продается и покупается, как любой другой товар. The best land is reserved for such commodity as coffee, cotton and bananas. Лучшие земли оставляют для таких предметов торговли, как кофе, хлопок и бананы. Goods - предметы специального изготовления для продажи. Goods относится к предметам, которые могут быть передвинуты или перемещены, goods имеет только одну форму - форму множественного числа, и согласуется с формой множественного числа глагола. Merchandise - описывает предметы торговли, которые, как правило, выставляются для обозрения, merchandise - существительное неисчисляемое, имеет только форму единственного числа: Customers are requested not to touch the merchandise. Просим покупателей не трогать выставленные товары. The merchandise was attractive displayed in the shop windows. Товары в витринах магазинов были красиво размещены/расставлены.
