истОсновной путь переселенцев из восточной Вирджинии через Камберлендский перевал [ Cumberland Gap] к реке Кентукки [ Kentucky River] (у современного г. Лексингтона [ Lexington]) и в долину р. Огайо [Ohio Valley, Ohio River]. Дорога была проложена в 1775 Д. Буном [ Boone, Daniel] с помощью 30 дровосеков; в его честь называлась также "тропой Буна" [Boone's Trace]. Позднее дорога была продолжена до Луисвилла [ Louisville]. К началу XIX в. ею воспользовались около 200 тыс. переселенцев.
