Договор между США и Великобританией о статусе будущего Панамского канала [ Panama Canal], разработанный госсекретарем США Хеем [ Hay, John Milton] и английским послом в США лордом Паунсфотом. Подписан 18 ноября 1901 в Вашингтоне. Право на сооружение канала и управление им передавалось США; им разрешалось держать военную полицию, сооружать укрепления в зоне канала. Нейтральный статус канала гарантировался США.
