1) Одна из 27 поправок к Конституции США [ Constitution of the United States], принимавшихся с 1791 по 1992. Первые 10 поправок вошли в историю под названием Билля о правах [ Bill of Rights]. 27-я поправка, ратифицированная в 1992, установила, что любое решение о повышении жалования члена Конгресса вступает в силу только после следующих выборов.
