денежная масса.Показатель финансовой статистики, с помощью которого оценивается количество денег в обращении. Центральные банки стран с рыночной экономикой в целях обуздания инфляции (inflation) и поддержания экономического роста постоянно стремятся регулировать денежную массу. Количественное изменение денежной массы в обращении оказывает влияние на уровень процентных ставок. Если последние повышаются, возникает тенденция к замедлению экономического роста, уменьшению экспортных возможностей страны, сокращению внутреннего рынка и соответственно уменьшению спроса на импортные товары. Снижение процентных ставок стимулирует экономический рост, но создает предпосылки для развития инфляционных процессов. В международной финансовой статистике денежная масса учитывается по следующим группам: Mi - банкноты, монеты, дорожные чеки, вклады до востребования в депозитных учреждениях; Мг - наличные деньги, депозиты до востребования, вклады в коммерческих банках; Мз - денежный оборот, при оценке которого помимо Mi и Мг учитываются вклады в кредитных банках. Наиболее стабильна, по утверждению специалистов федеральной резервной системы (Центральногобанка) США, скорость обращения денежной массы группы М2.
