Tuttavia, per quanto riguarda l'assicurazione sulla vita esistono sia “life insurance” che “life assurance”: la prima si riferisce alla copertura contro particolari eventi che potrebbero verificarsi (ad esempio, morire prima dei 60 anni) e viene liquidata solo se questi hanno luogo; mentre la seconda viene liquidata dopo il decesso della persona assicurata.
