24 enquire, enquiry/inquire, inquiry
He enquired after her health.
Слово inquire и особенно существительное inquiry используются в контексте, относящемуся к официальному расследованию: an inquiry agent («агент по расследованию», частный детектив), a police inquiry (полицейское расследование), a special committee of inquiry (особая комиссия по расследованию). I'd like to enquire about the progress of the inquiry.
English-Russian dictionary of expressions > enquire, enquiry/inquire, inquiry
