Nota d'usoL'aggettivo italiano “fresco” non va sempre tradotto con fresh. Fresh nel senso di “fresco” viene utilizzato in relazione all'aria: I need some fresh air, ho bisogno di un po' di aria fresca; oppure per indicare qualcosa di appena fatto: fresh bread, pane fresco; fresh orange juice, spremuta d'arancia. Per indicare invece la temperatura di bevande o di luoghi, si usano gli aggettivi cold e cool: I'd like a cold drink, vorrei una bibita fresca (non I'd like a fresh drink); My house is lovely and cool in summer, la mia casa è piacevolmente fresca d'estate (in questo caso l'aggettivo cold implicherebbe una temperatura non gradevole). -
