  • 61 work in progress

lavori in corso, in fieri, in divenire

English-Italian dictionary of foreign words > work in progress

  • 62 -to work for o to work at?-

    Nota d'uso
Quando si vuole dire dove (per chi) si lavora, si usa la preposizione for: I work for Zanussi, lavoro alla Zanussi (non I work in Zanussi). Si noti che for non è seguito dall'articolo the quando si parla di aziende private; se invece si tratta di enti statali è necessario usare l'articolo: She worked for the BBC, ha lavorato per la BBC. Quando si vuole specificare il luogo (l'edificio) in cui si lavora, si usa la preposizione at: I work at Zanussi, it takes me 20 minutes by car, lavoro alla Zanussi, ci metto 20 minuti in macchina.
