1 Personal pronouns
↑ PronounЛичные местоимения в английском языке различаются по лицу, роду и числу, а также имеют две падежные формы: субъектную и объектную. К личным местоимениям относятся:Субъектные формы:I (1-ое лицо ед.) — яyou (2-е лицо ед.) — ты, Вы (ед.ч.)he (3-е лицо ед.) — онit (3-е лицо ед.) — он, она, оно (неодуш.)we (1-ое лицо мн. ч.) — мыyou (2-е лицо мн. ч.) — вы, Вы (мн.ч.)Объектные формы:me (1-ое лицо ед.) — меня, мне, мнойyou (2-е лицо ед.) — тебя, Вас и т.д. (ед.ч.)him (3-е лицо ед.) — его и т.д.her (3-е лицо ед.) — ее и т.д.it (3-е лицо ед.) — его, ее и т.д. (неодуш.)us (1-ое лицо мн. ч.) — нас и т.д.you (2-е лицо мн. ч.) — вас, Вас и т.д. (мн.ч.)them (3-е лицо мн. ч.) — их и т.д.Местоимение I("я") всегда пишется с заглавной буквы.1) Местоимения he и she обычно относятся к людям, а местоимение it - к прочим одушевленным и неодушевленным предметам. Местоимение they - общее для всех существительных во множественном числе.а) Иногда местоимения he и she используются для называния животных (особенно домашних), если этим животным приписываются индивидуальные черты:Go and find the cat and put her out. — Пойди найди (нашу) кошку и выпусти ее на улицу.
б) Местоимение she иногда используется при обозначении автомобилей, мотоциклов и кораблей:My new car is wonderful: she's running so beautifully. — Моя новая машина просто чудесна: она так прекрасно ездит.
After taking all that was valuable from the ship she was destroyed. — После того, как с корабля было взято все ценное, он был разрушен.
в) Местоимение she может использоваться для стран, однако в современном английском языке более обычно в этом случае употребление it:We shall have to help Germany onto her feet again so that she can be punished in an orderly way. — Мы должны будем помочь Германии снова встать на ноги, чтобы ее можно было наказать как следует.
2) Субъектная форма личных местоимений в английском языке употребляется только перед глаголом в личной форме. Во всех прочих формах употребляется объектная форма, в том числе в конструкциях с than, as, but и т.п.:Peter is as tall as me — Питер такого же роста, как и я
John is taller than him — Джон выше, чем он
но:
Peter is as tall as I am — Питер такого же роста, как и я
I can swim faster than she can — Я плаваю быстрее, чем она
3) В отличие от русского языка, личное местоимение в английском языке иногда может употребляться перед именной группой, к которой оно относится, если местоимение находится в придаточном предложении, а именная группа - в главном предложении в составе сложного предложенияWhen he (= Louis XIV) became king, Louis XIV was four years and eight months old — букв: Когда он ( = Людовик XIV) стал королем, Людовику XIV было четыре года и восемь месяцев
